Ms. Wood has tutored three of our children in English and critical reading. She has guided them in mastering the content spanning the sixth grade through the high school curricula. She has provided each of them with a solid foundation in grammatical communication. As a result, each of them has improved significantly.

I have been going to Ms. Wood for over a year. She has taught me to write well. I have learned prepositions, direct objects and other parts of speech. She has taught me to dissect the elements of a story. I feel more comfortable reading and writing in school.

Ms. Wood is a really great teacher. I received a "700" on my SATs in English. What I found particularly helpful was the focus on grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure. Ms. Wood has also helped me to excel in my AP English course.

Mrs. Wood has been instrumental in assisting both our regular education and special education staff with instructional strategies and techniques for our students. Her hands-on, experiential training based on her classroom experiences has been repeatedly well received by our staff. She has the ability to complement existing training with pragmatic classroom solutions. I highly recommend her training in light of the changes in special education and the ever changing and, challenging profile of the special need's student.

As Director of Pupil Services, I see a great deal of literature that comes across my desk describing the latest approach to working with struggling students. I have finally found the right program at the right time with the right trainer. The Stevenson Reading program and the Semple Math program are the perfect match for my neediest students in kindergarten through eighth grade. The program is neatly packaged and easily understood by teachers.

Although the programs are well designed and presented, Georgie Wood is the difference maker. She has connected with my staff through her experiences and positive outlook. She challenges everyone around her to be better, while valuing the children and believing in these approaches. Her passion and attitude are infectious.
